Thought for the week

I have been thinking a little bit about my career again recently. About how I am going to grow and learn, and a little about the next steps. The usual start of the year thoughts really. This usually starts for me by taking a look at what people have been saying about or to me. In reviews at work, on email, client feedback etc. And something always stands out as the one thing everybody says. Before you read my thought for the week, which in turn will reveal what characteristic this is, I would like to point out that it is a characteristic I see in many of my peers and mentors in the digital space. It's possibly what keeps me able to display this characteristic myself.

"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 -1882)

A little social media test:

Before I published this I put the thought on Twitter to see how fast this thing is at spreading the word. This obvious one retweet below was out within 20 secs, the next 10 RT's came in the next 30 mins even at 21:35 on a Sunday. Amazing or sad you decide.
